Welcome to Ambriel Acres Alpacas, LLC
Building our herd as we study the past, spotlight the present, and follow our dream for the future! Ambriel Acres Alpacas is located in the middle Tennessee Valley near the foothills of the scenic Monteagle Mountain of the Southern Cumberland Plateau. We are conveniently situated midway between Chattanooga and Nashville. Established in 2006, our ranch is a family run business that focuses on breeding huacaya alpacas of color with great fiber. The herd is visited at least twice a day for feedings, clean up and lots of attention. We have automatic waterers installed so nobody goes without fresh water. In addition to keeping our animals current with vaccines, nail trimmings and worming, as a small ranch we have opportunities to work with each animal on halter and lead. Our alpacas are closely guarded by our two Maremma LGD's and are acclimated to our four house dogs and one cat who roam the acreage. Our former herdsire on our farm
was the
legendary 4Peruvian Wira Cocha. He was
handpicked by Earlah Swift who was one of the first alpaca breeders on the East
Coast. She was one of the original founders of Mariah Alpacas in Vermont.
Her understanding had taught her that the quality of the starter herd and, most
importantly, the quality of your herd sires are the two most essential
ingredients for future success. And Wira Cocha was formerly one of the
most prized herd sires of Mariah Alpacas.
