A few years ago we were intrigued by Alpacas and the business and started researching everything we could pertaining to the animals.  We live on 55 acres in middle Tennessee and wanted to do something with the land.   While it took us over 5 years to take the plunge – in hindsight, we wasted about 4½ years!  Once we dove in, there’s been no looking back.  Our focus is on producing the finest alpacas with the absolute best fleece.  At Ambriel Acres Alpacas, we strongly believe in breeding for superior offspring and improving with each generation.  The breeding decisions we make today will have a positive effect on the alpaca industry in the future.

The name Ambriel Acres is the brainchild of my wife Tara, who researched many names and settled on Ambriel because of its profound meaning.  Ambriel, who is the Angel of May and one of the Angels of Spring encourages one to awake to their inner potential.  This Angel aids in the discovery of such potential, nurturing the spirit toward fulfillment of this "hidden promise" in order to achieve a life which can be lived to the fullest.  Also, with my wife and I both being Gemini's, Ambriel is the Angel of May and primarily rules the Sign of Gemini.

Initially, we settled on five females to start our herd and one of them (Aurora) gave birth to our first cria on 9/05/06. Tara named her Amadora which means The gift of love. The name is Italian in origin which relates to my heritage.

I Love Alpacas

We now have a total of fifteen alpacas consisting of nine females and six males that make up our herd.  At the top of that list is our featured herdsire Wira Cocha.

We are in full swing with our spring breeding and birthing season.  Samantha just graced us on June 6th with a white female cria.  We will name her Juliet.  Sammie will be re-bred to Wira Cocha around July 1st as well as Marylin and possibly Shakira.  Three females are expecting in October 2008 and will then be re-bred to Wira Cocha in November along with Amadora.   That will give us three females on the spring birthing and four on the fall birthing schedule for 2009.   Our herd is steadily increasing and we're looking for big things to come in the future.

All of our alpacas are ARI Registered.
